History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. His father took him hunting and taught him how to get in the mind of other creatures. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

Description: An older man who wears dark leathers with embroidery, he is not a threatening figure. He has a long golden beard with little hanging trinkets. His face is feral with sharp distinguishing features. His spectacle hidden eyes are a deep green.

Personality: Alex wants to be seen as a stoic, levelheaded, noble Commoner, so he tries to act the part. He does a good job, for the most part... Animals are drawn to him, and he is able to talk to them.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. He has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to him frivolously. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by goblins. Alex was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the goblins.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by goblins, and he desires to right it

Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic man, Adelard's first love is himself. His second love is also himself. He is cautious and jumpy. He reacts to every sound and lacks any concept of subtlety.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. He worked as a nervous Fortune-teller and found it very stressful. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: He feels the way he acts is they only way to get by in the world.

Description: He is a small man, but exceptionally fit. He wears red robes with leather pauldrons. Though occasionally he wears more armor. He prefers to carry a whip, but if one is not available he will default to his glaive. He has a very tight haircut. His blue eyes have a joyful gleam in them most of the time.

Personality: He is not truly malevolent, but he is obsessed with dancing. He constantly tries to fill his life with dancing. The war was a terrible time for him, and Nicholas does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. His mother was a soldier and died while he was still young. Nicholas was left his mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

He spends most of his days drinking in the Inn, the rowdiest and most dangerous establishment in town. There he gambles, wrestles and listens to stories told by travelers.

History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. A freak accident while working with his Fortune-teller mother left him crippled. In his journeys he found a malevolent artifact. He wishes to return this artifact and its corrupting influence back to where it came.

Motivation: To get a good night's sleep; and he wants to meet his childhood hero
