History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when gnolls swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. In his 17th year, his parents were killed by a gnolls raid, leaving Gerard alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. He has had some formal music training, and achieved minor success. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Personality: He cares much about the opinion of others, both in good and in bad: when keeping in line with his opinion, he thinks highly of the other person, but when opinions clash, he can get violently argumentative. He uses his nature as a weapon; he likes to lead opponents to think him in distress.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Wymar was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Human companion (his 'brother'). He now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

Motivation: He's repulsed by the PC; and a need for knowledge about a nearby landmark
