History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. His mother was a soldier and died while he was still young. Richard was left his mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. Since then, he has sought to make the best of life.

Through the years after Chad was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Chad's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.
