History: Born the oldest of a large religious western family, he was no stranger to responsibility. From his teen years he was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on him. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: Quiet and reserved he prefers to listen than to talk. He will nod occasionally and communicate nonverbally. He has all his life been fascinated with poetry.

History: Nicholas was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Sorcerer, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Sorcerer in service of a powerful lord somewhere. From there he went from mercenary job to mercenary job. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and he desires power and/or immortality

Personality: Eccentric and domineering, Theodoric will drive conversation. His philosophy is that everyone needs a friend and as such shows hospitality towards all.

History: Theodoric was born the youngest of three triplets. His father worked until he suffered an accident while they were digging through a hill for a new route. He had to support his now crippled father and took his father's old job. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.

Motivation: To reunite with his absent father; and find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother

Personality: He seems absolutely devoid of it. He stares off into space and will respond with overly literal and minimalist answers to questions. He receives visions of the future at random moments

History: He was born at the edge of vast island. He inherited a moderately successful company from his mother. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: He has money and likes to spend it; and he seems to be bored by most things

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. When the war came and ruined his parents he was left adrift. He was a hard man then and has only learned to fight more as time goes on. After a long history of fighting, Richard and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: He's repulsed by the PC; and many orcs want him driven away
