History: Frederick was raised in a hard working conservative environment. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He became a Shepherd soon after.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. Nicholas abandoned his home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. He survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. He did whatever it took for him to survive. He has became unsatisfied with his lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.

Motivation: He's looking for his big break; and many dire rats want him driven away

History: Born to a Butcher, his father struggled to pay the bills. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. After a long history of fighting, Alex and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: Retire the richest man in the east; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions
