History: The child of a Bookbinder, who enjoyed hunting, William was taken on many hunting expeditions. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: He is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs; and his religion dominates his actions

He did whatever it took for him to survive. He has became unsatisfied with his lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.
