His hair is long and golden with streaks of chestnut, and is pulled back with small grey clips. His beard is chestnut, braided, and well cared for. He has violet eyes and a grey hat with a violet feather.

Personality: He is quite rude, and likes to deride his opponents skill and shout insults at them. He is cautious and jumpy. He reacts to every sound and lacks any concept of subtlety.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. Through the years after John was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. John's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

Personality: He speaks before he thinks and is too direct. When he's not drinking or sleeping the drinks off, he's doing painting.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. He has had some formal painting training, and achieved minor success. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Personality: He snorts whenever he laughs or is feeling confident. He disdains his fellow westerners, claiming they make him look unintelligent just for using an accent.

History: The child of western immigrants he idolized his father. His father disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his father, he was betrayed dozens of times. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Personality: He is always cheerful, even with a hangover, and is always willing to go through all sorts of trouble to help his friends. He considers everything a fun event and doesn't hold grudges. He is lazy, self-centered, vain, and jealous.

History: Born in the south to a Mercenary, Miles learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Human companion (his 'brother'). He has dedicated himself to building a better kind of golem.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and balancing his hectic life and new mercenary responsibilities is difficult
