History: He was born in the south. In his 18th year, his parents were killed by a goblins raid, leaving William alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to goblins demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: He is almost excessively polite to everyone, even when angry. He is fiercely devoted to his father, and views his father's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-brother.

History: He was raised in a desert tribe. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. By chance he met his brother recently and the two have been together since.
