Description: This petite short man is perpetually holding a sweet of some kind. He wears baggy brown pantaloons and a black scarf, marred by sweets. He has done his best to style his auburn hair to look like a famous performer. His fierce brown eyes like to dwell on things.
Personality: He hates gnolls. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. Bertram is a bit of a follower. Usually he is manipulated by his brothers into helping them out, but recently he has become more of a free agent.
History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. Bertram liked to wander the woods near his home when he was young, something he still likes to do at least once a week. He never liked modest clothing or shoes, so he would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and he developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Description: He is a pot bellied southern man with a big hulking figure and broad shoulders. He wears a shirt and pants that are bristling with pockets overflowing with maps, compasses, and other navigational equipment. His blonde hair is greying along the sides and has receded to reveal a widow's peak. He wears crescent spectacles with a black brim.
Personality: Rolf is depressed about a lot of things. He tends to be a nihilist. He does not regard money as being a problem because it has never been a problem for him. He lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.
History: Born the oldest of a large religious southern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.
Motivation: Retire the richest man in the south.

Description: A man with a friendly, welcoming air about him, he wears a yellow feathered hat and yellow clothes. His red hair is slicked back into a classic pompadour. His green unseeing eyes seem to look past you.
Personality: Dean wants to be seen as a stoic, levelheaded, noble Paladin, so he tries to act the part. He does a good job, for the most part... He is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure he is not cheated out of a speck.
History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. He took after his mother in leading caravans. Because they were valued, his mother taught him to defend himself. When his mother died while fighting orcs, the young Dean began to lead the lost caravan. He has been helping groups of widows and orphans who have fled abusive spouses or lost their families to orcs.
Motivation: Many orcs want him driven away.

Description: This eastern man is abnormally tall. He prefers to wear fine silks, though has several suits of combat armor for his hunting needs. His whole body is exceptionally muscular. With bright blonde hair and a scraggly beard. His half smiles and amber eyes are beguiling and draw you in.
Personality: He is quite rude, and likes to deride his opponents skill and shout insults at them. He is lazy, self-centered, vain, and jealous.
History: He was born into a rich family. Since his mother passed away years ago, his father had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.
Motivation: His religion dominates his actions.
