One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. He helped his mother out around the business and became quite the natural. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

He tries to control his temper but he can't always stop himself from what he feels what must be done. He has zero loyalty and will suck up to whomever is within range, in the hopes of being moved to a better position.

History: He was born in the west, but his parents moved at a very young age to the south. Through the years after Anselm was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Anselm's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He has achieved small success as a Bounty Hunter.

Motivation: Wishes to resurrect an old love; and he wants nothing more than to rejoin the army
