He wears a shirt that is too small, which lets his gut show, with a ratty red coat over it. His hair, while still mostly brown, has prominent grey streaks. His eyes are likewise gray. His teeth are yellowed and unaligned.

Personality: He has a massive crush on the younger sibling of the Shepherd who has hired him part-time. He can see the true alignment of people by looking at them, and uses this to pass judgement.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. Bertram was born on a far western plains where he grew up under the tutelage of his father, an expert Shepherd. He has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Shepherd.

Personality: Always inclined to offer people food he seems plenty friendly. He is terrible with names forgetting people's names several times before they finally stick; this causes him no end of embarrassment.

History: When he was but 3 years old his parents immigrated from the south. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Merchant work with an outfit from a few towns over. Merchant work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He struck the Merchant job and began his own company from there.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Dean embodies much of what other species detest in the Humans. He is a big fan of imagination and believes people should spend more time reading and writing.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. From his teen years he was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on him. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: To share knowledge with the world.

Personality: This man loves writing and to teach people writing more than just about anything. Flattery will make him almost putty in your hands.

History: William hails from a village terrorized by gnolls. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by gnolls. William was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the gnolls.

Motivation: To fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. He has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.

Motivation: To get a good night's sleep; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions
