His father taught him the rudiments of the Priest arts, while his mother instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. He inherited a moderately successful company from his father. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Adelard grew up listening to his mother's many stories. He married young, but lost his spouse to dire rats. He has became unsatisfied with his lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.

Motivation: To pay off his debts; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and he desires to right it

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. Cursed with lycanthropy at a very young age, Manfred has worked very hard to control his curse. In his journeys he found a malevolent artifact. He wishes to return this artifact and its corrupting influence back to where it came.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and he wants to meet his childhood hero
