History: He was raised by priests from a young age. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. History: He was born into a rich family. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. After a long history of fighting, Conrad and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: He's repulsed by the PC.

Personality: He speaks before he thinks and is too direct. He also has developed a complete distrust of the Engraver profession.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Herbalist. He tends to his Herbalist job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

Motivation: He is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally.

Personality: He does not believe in betrayal or weakness as things to be tolerated. He refers to his adoptive mother for almost all things he is unsure about, which are numerous. He is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.

History: When he was but 6 years old his parents immigrated from the north. Alex was born on a far northern island where he grew up under the tutelage of his mother, an expert Engraver. He left for the north, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Engraver and was forced into it by his family; and an old rival family wants him found

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. While he appears to be a normal Human, he's... not quite right. Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: Retire the richest man in the south.
