History: Bertram lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.

Motivation: To reunite with his old friends; and doesn't want to be a shepherd and was forced into it by his family

History: Born to a Barkeep, his father struggled to pay the bills. His father was very strict, and drilled into him lessons on being the perfect gentleman. He was granted arcane powers by his dying sister.
