When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Expert in service of a powerful lord somewhere. From there he went from mercenary job to mercenary job. He left for the east, certain he would find work there.

History: He got into the Beggar business at a young age. His childhood dream was to be a Tanner, but he was a colossal failure. Now he works as a writing tutor during his time off.

History: The child of a Mason, who enjoyed hunting, Gerald was taken on many hunting expeditions. Since his mother passed away years ago, his father had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. After a long history of fighting, Gerald and his spouse have recently divorced.

Personality: He cares much about the opinion of others, both in good and in bad: when keeping in line with his opinion, he thinks highly of the other person, but when opinions clash, he can get violently argumentative. He does suffer from mild PTSD, and the sight of goblins may trigger it at times.

History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. At a young age his father died while driving off some goblins. His mother being the stubborn sort decided to stay and helped train him in morningstar use. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to goblins demanding more tribute than usual.
