History: When he was but 4 years old his parents immigrated from the south. Because his father participated in the massacre of their homeland, giants burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. He was preparing to flee to the south, but the outbreak of war prevented him and his mother from journeying south to reunite his family. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: To find somewhere to settle down; and his relatives are trying to arrange a marriage
