History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. In his youth he was a Priest, and wanted to be a champion fighter when he grew up. He was working during a period of war, and as one of the natives he lived in fear of joining the others in being slaughtered. He saw the brutality and swore off his fighting aspirations, taking his younger brother on his back after seeing his parents die, and fled the country. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: He was always a brilliant, if unscrupulous mind. His arcane abilities were realized during a raid on his village. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature falchion.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. He has had some formal poetry training, and achieved minor success. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Locksmith for hire.

Motivation: To be a Sculptor again; and wants to open a new tavern

History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Humans in Cory's homeland. Cory decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. He left for the south, certain he would find work there.
