Description: Relatively heavier built than your average man, he is not imposing. He sports grey clothing, slightly heavier than average wear. Sporting a chestnut mohawk and bushy mustache this man's hair draws a lot of attention. He wears crescent spectacles with a black brim.
Personality: He has always had a great fascination with Human culture. Around other people he will do his best to conceal his emotions and appear jolly.
History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. Cursed with a spirit at a very young age, Bernard has worked very hard to control his curse. Recently a tribe of giants attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Bernard fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.
Motivation: He feels the way he acts is they only way to get by in the world; and he doesn't get along with people that don't share his tastes

Description: This man is armored in gleaming platemail with gilded edges. A flowing green cape and mantle trimmed with soft grey waves gently in the breeze. He is muscular with a powerful set of arms. He wears a colorful flower in his red hair. He has a tattooed face.
Personality: He hates giants. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. He has a taste for the finer things and spends a great deal of money on luxuries, some more exotic than others.
History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Chad was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. In his 18th year, his parents were killed by a giants raid, leaving Chad alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.
Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by giants, and he desires to right it.

Description: A middle-aged man, he wears dull black sweaters, loose white pants, and alligator leather shoes. Beneath his sweater he keeps a concealed mace, just in case, and is pretty ugly. His blonde hair is kept up in a ponytail inside a deerstalker hat. His eyes are amber and he is always smoking a pipe.
Personality: He's a bit of a prankster. He knows he is clumsy and seen as such and will often feign amnesia after injury. He is always in debt, since he spends his money on lavish parties and gifts for friends
History: His psionic talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, his parents had him trained. Ostracized due to the psionic powers of his oldest sister, he and his siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Humans became a terror of the countryside. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
Motivation: He feels kind of lost in life; and he loathes his own lifestyle

Description: This tall, slender man wears a pastel tunic with brown highlights, and long grey pants that bunch up around his shoes. His chestnut hair is thinning but still full. He wears round tiny glasses practically rammed into his face.
Personality: He has a very dry and sarcastic sense of humor. He is not one for noise or eating so much, which is in direct contrast with his big mouthed big gutted partner. His partner is his best friend in the world. The two are very close despite being more or less each other's opposites. He is motivated by money and will often try and persuade people to work for cheap. He haggles over everything, upselling his goods and buying cheap. He is persistent in everything.
History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. He was an apprentice working in his mother's forge. When he grew older, he became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. He began work as a mercenary for hire. He would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.
Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and he desires to right it; and he wants revenge against dire rats
