History: He comes from a rich western family. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. At a young age his mother died while driving off some illithids. His father being the stubborn sort decided to stay and helped train him in shortspear use. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and he desires to right it
