History: Born to a Merchant, his father struggled to pay the bills. At some point he was captured by gnolls and was tortured. After several years of this he finally managed to escape. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by gnolls. Nicholas was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the gnolls.

History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. Since then, he has sought to make the best of life.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Gerard was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. Through the years after Gerard was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Gerard's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
