History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. He helped his father out around the business and became quite the natural. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Carter they were divorced and he won custody of their son. He worked as a Engraver, and he later adopted a second son.

Description: This northern man dresses like a well dressed Roofer does. His clothes are grease stained in places. With bright golden hair and a scraggly beard. He has a very pronounced jaw and large eyebrows. He wears rectangular glasses with silver brims.

Personality: Lance hangs on like a leech to those who appreciate him. It was this clingy personality that held back his painting career. His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Lance is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.

History: Born in the north to a Roofer, Lance learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Roofer work with an outfit from a few towns over. Roofer work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. He dropped out of school before completing his studies. He was always very intelligent and has formed a secret society of specialists.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army.
