History: Charles was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his father was employed at, doing general labor. His parents were killed by illithids in a raid when he was still a young child. The illithids captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. Some 2 years later his spouse died after the birth of his daughter. Heartbroken, Charles never married again.
