History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Roland was born the youngest of three triplets. Being born in the north, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the north for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way east. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Sage they were divorced and he won custody of their daughter. He worked as a Marshal, and he later adopted a second daughter.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Marshal and was forced into it by his family; and his spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion

He has the appearance of someone under the heavy influence of drugs.

Personality: He dislikes all the random violence that takes place in the south. He does suffer from mild PTSD, and the sight of brigands may trigger it at times.

History: Don hails from a village terrorized by brigands. His first spouse was a Locksmith, they had one son, but his spouse won total custody. Without his spouse to temper him he grew out of control. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Wants to raise his children well; and doesn't want to be a weaver and was forced into it by his family
