History: Gerard lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Being born in the south, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the south for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way east. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.

History: His mother raised him in a mountain cabin. He dropped out of school before completing his studies. He bought a sword and has really upped his game hunting, due to his understanding of decoy and ambush.

Motivation: To share knowledge with the world; and he is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get him out

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Hubert grew up listening to his mother's many stories. His divine abilities were realized during a raid on his village. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and he wants to meet his childhood hero

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. He always admired divine-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. During his travels, Hugh and his party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, Hugh discovered the rest of his party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves.
