He was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Human doctor. He has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.

History: Charles lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Bookbinder hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.
