When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Personality: A deeply religious man he believes everything happens for a reason. To his fellows he is seen as friendly and intelligent, but is angry and unforgiving to the so called fatcats and any who do and have associated with them.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Nicholas was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. A serious injury left his father unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm father. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. He helped his father out around the business and became quite the natural. He has worked as a Sage like his father before him.

Motivation: To be a Spy again; and wants to open a new tavern

Personality: He is a hateful person. He taunts others and blames them for his problems. He has all his life been fascinated with painting.

History: The child of a Servant, who enjoyed hunting, Trym was taken on many hunting expeditions. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered painting. He has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Servant. He hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.
