He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by dire rats. Kody was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the dire rats.

Without his spouse to temper him he grew out of control. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Servant they were divorced and he won custody of their son. He worked as a Dyer, and he later adopted a second son.
