History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. In his 14th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his father impaled in their home, and his mother beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He now mingles about in high society.

History: Percival was raised in a hard working conservative environment. He helped his father out around the business and became quite the natural. Recently a tribe of illithids attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Percival fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Personality: Eccentric and domineering, Bertram will drive conversation. He has zero loyalty and will suck up to whomever is within range, in the hopes of being moved to a better position.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Bertram was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Motivation: He wants revenge against gnolls; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by gnolls, and he desires to right it
