History: When he was but 3 years old his parents immigrated from the west. His father disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his father, he was betrayed dozens of times. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Spice Merchant they were divorced and he won custody of their daughter. He worked as a Courier, and he later adopted a second daughter.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Courier and was forced into it by his family.

History: His mother raised him in a mountain cabin. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: He'd like to take his coworkers down a peg; and balancing his hectic life and new navigator responsibilities is difficult
