When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Rogue in service of a powerful lord somewhere. From there he went from mercenary job to mercenary job. He was granted arcane powers by his dying brother.

He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Scribe. He has worked as a Scribe like his father before him.
