Personality: He resents people who mock his appearance or him, so he has learned to be the meanest son of a gun. He believes the world needs to unite to get rid of brigands once and for all.

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a son. Some 2 years later his spouse died after the birth of his son. Heartbroken, Manfred never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his son whom he trained as his father had trained him before.

He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.

Motivation: To reunite with his old friends; and he is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs

He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. In his journeys he found a malevolent artifact. History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance.
