He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Ruler for hire.

Description: He appears as an extremely gaunt Human, and stands approximately 5'4". He dresses like a well dressed Roofer does, and his gloved hand is found clutching a monstrous two handed axe. His auburn hair is still thick. His eyes, though not visible through his cowl, are green.

Personality: Bernard hangs on like a leech to those who appreciate him. It was this clingy personality that held back his writing career. He uses his nature as a weapon; he likes to lead opponents to think him in distress.

History: The child of a Slave Trader, who enjoyed hunting, Bernard was taken on many hunting expeditions. Bernard liked to wander the woods near his home when he was young, something he still likes to do at least once a week. He never liked modest clothing or shoes, so he would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and he developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Personality: He believes there is no problem he cannot solve with sufficient elbow grease and persistence, if it is the best or most economic solution matters not. He uses divination through singing.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his mother and father. His mother taught him the rudiments of the Merchant arts, while his father instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. Brilliant and gifted he never wanted to apply himself. History: Shane was raised in a hard working conservative environment. Brilliant and gifted he never wanted to apply himself. He now owns his own business.
