He was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Human doctor. Recently a tribe of gnolls attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Hubert fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Motivation: He feels kind of lost in life; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions

He moves from fascination to fascination almost instantaneously. If something can keep his interest for a month it is impressive.
