History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, John was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a daughter. He has never given up on his painting dream.

History: Heward was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his father was employed at, doing general labor. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Jeweler hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

Personality: He takes his job very seriously, in part because he fears he cannot get a new one. He will do just about anything if he becomes convinced it is for someone's true love, of this he is easily convinced.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. Through the years after John was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. John's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Map Maker. He hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.
