History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. Balimaar liked to wander the woods near his home when he was young, something he still likes to do at least once a week. He never liked modest clothing or shoes, so he would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and he developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. He's also a talented Miller, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Bertram was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. His mother was a soldier and died while he was still young. Bertram was left his mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.
