History: Adelard hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. Cursed with unlife at a very young age, Adelard has worked very hard to control his curse. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Frederick was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his father was employed at, doing general labor. His arcane abilities were realized during a raid on his village. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.
