History: The child of eastern immigrants he idolized his father. From there he went from mercenary job to mercenary job. He left for the east, certain he would find work there.

Personality: His tongue was cut out and he uses sign language. He does not believe in violence as a means to an end. He is a dedicated Interpreter but believes his peers are too gung-ho.

History: When he was but 5 years old his parents immigrated from the east. Gerard was born on a far eastern plains where he grew up under the tutelage of his mother, an expert Interpreter. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.
