His father taught him the rudiments of the Soapmaker arts, while his mother instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. His first spouse was a Ruler, they had one daughter, but his spouse won total custody. Without his spouse to temper him he grew out of control. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Ruler they were divorced and he won custody of their daughter. He worked as a Layabout, and he later adopted a second daughter.

History: Born in the west to a Ruler, Roger learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. Brilliant and gifted he never wanted to apply himself. Recently a tribe of dire rats attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Roger fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.
