He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a daughter. Some 4 years later his spouse died after the birth of his daughter. Heartbroken, Raymond never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his daughter whom he trained as his father had trained him before.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious eastern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
