History: Rolf lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. In his 15th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Rolf alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

His one remaining eye shines blue.

Personality: He is a very philanthropic person; he spends his free time working at various soup kitchens. He is obsessed with a lost civilization.

History: Born to a Jeweler, his father struggled to pay the bills. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. In the meantime he has taken over work as a Herbalist and occasionally as a mercenary.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and he wants to meet his childhood hero

Personality: Calm and collected, he is a well trained Spy. He is used to getting what he wants. In part because he is a meticulous planner.

History: He was always a brilliant, if unscrupulous mind. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Spy. He's also a talented Knight, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Description: This eastern man's face is deformed and paralyzed on one side. As such, he slurs his words together. He is constantly adorned with expensive silk clothing, often dyed in bright grey and tan, and wears rings and necklaces with large, colorful gems. His black hair is singed and shortened. His face is scarred and worn.

Personality: He loves telling others what to do and how they should feel about things. He loves teas. He is very sensitive about his face. To blow off anger he lifts weights and to control his otherwise explosive temper he works out a lot.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. There was a wharf not far from home where he often wandered off to fish. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: Born in the south to a Fisher, Trym learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. At a young age he wooed the heart of his future spouse and the two had a long relationship before they wed. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Fisher for hire.

Motivation: To prove his worth to the world; and expand his business
