History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his father. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He now spends his time doing works of charity.

Charles was left his mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

He constantly seizes attention wherever he goes and has come to expect this respect from everyone. He likes to think of himself as merciful, but nonetheless is very strict.

History: His mother raised him in a mountain cabin. He has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to him frivolously. He has set out to sabotage the competition.
