He does not regard money as being a problem because it has never been a problem for him. He lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. He inherited a moderately successful company from his mother. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Personality: He takes his job very seriously, in part because he fears he cannot get a new one. He is skeptical of what others tell him and is slow to trust.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. When the war came and ruined his parents he was left adrift. He was a hard man then and has only learned to fight more as time goes on. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Butcher for the past few years.

Motivation: Wants to open a new tavern.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious western family, he was no stranger to responsibility. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He now spends his time doing works of charity.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions.

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. Before the accident, he was one of the most outspoken anti-Human activists. He was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Human doctor. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to drow demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: He wants revenge against drow; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by drow, and he desires to right it

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Dean grew up listening to his mother's many stories. His first spouse was a Armorer, they had one daughter, but his spouse won total custody. Without his spouse to temper him he grew out of control. He has became unsatisfied with his lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and his relatives are trying to arrange a marriage
