Roland's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

History: Gifted from a young age, Nicholas studied abroad. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Personality: The man has a huge range of feeling. He will range from being happy and joking with the occasional self put down to crying stating how he will be a better person from this day on. His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, John is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.

History: He was born in the south, but his parents moved at a very young age to the west. In his 11th year, his parents were killed by a gnolls raid, leaving John alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: Abrasive and pushy, he has a hard time making friends. He is underhanded and not above using his wealth and body to get others to do his bidding.

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. He was taken from his home at a very young age. He now mingles about in high society.
