History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. He was taken as a slave by a traveling circus and forced to perform He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Gilbert embodies much of what other species detest in the Humans. His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Gilbert is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.

History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. He has had some formal painting training, and achieved minor success. After a long history of fighting, Gilbert and his spouse have recently divorced.
