In his 15th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his father impaled in their home, and his mother beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Herbalist for the past few years.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. Bernard abandoned his home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. He survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. He did whatever it took for him to survive. He has dedicated himself to building a better world.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and meet up once more with his childhood friend

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Fisher work with an outfit from a few towns over. Fisher work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He now owns his own business.

Motivation: Meet up once more with his childhood friend; and to be a unemployed again

History: Adam lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Through the years after Adam was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Adam's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: To reunite with his absent father; and find a way to reverse the transformation of his sister
