Personality: He swings through moods quickly. One moment he is cool and collected, the next he is carried away by passions. He claims to be unscrupulous but at the end of the day he will do what he thinks is right.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when illithids swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. In his 12th year, his parents were killed by a illithids raid, leaving Conrad alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and he desires to right it
