History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Cartwright hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He has never given up on his writing dream.

When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Miller.

Personality: He has a very dry and sarcastic sense of humor. He is not one for noise or eating so much, which is in direct contrast with his big mouthed big gutted partner. History: Born the oldest of a large religious southern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. His mother was very strict, and drilled into him lessons on being the perfect gentleman.
