As a young adult he joined a group advocating for an improvement in Halfling conditions. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.

Motivation: He is a bit of a kleptomaniac.

Personality: Overbrimming with self-confidence, Barakas isn't afraid of most anything. He has a strong dislike to people who do not believe in Tiefling unity. He constantly seizes attention wherever he goes and has come to expect this respect from everyone. He likes to think of himself as merciful, but nonetheless is very strict.

History: Barakas was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his father was employed at, doing general labor. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Motivation: He feels the way he acts is they only way to get by in the world; and he doesn't get along with people that don't share his tastes

History: He was born on a small isolated farm. His father disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his father, he was betrayed dozens of times. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.
