Personality: He hates Gnomes with a passion. As such he is filled with self loathing. He enjoys reading and quiet.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. Before the accident, he was one of the most outspoken anti-Gnomish activists. He was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Gnomish doctor. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Balam embodies much of what other species detest in the Tieflings. He is fiercely devoted to his mother, and views his mother's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-brother.
