History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Motivation: He will attempt to ambush and attack anyone he thinks he can take on alone and try to knock them out with non-lethal damage. If successful, he will try to sell them to his slave-trader contact; and he has comitted a past crime that haunts him to this day

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. While he appears to be a normal Gnome, he's... not quite right. History: His mother raised him in a mountain cabin. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Each gave each other a copy of their signature ceremonial dagger.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge; and a need for knowledge about a nearby landmark

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. Recently a tribe of orcs attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Tethren fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Detective responsibilities is difficult; and to be a layabout again
